After the Ruby sunday it was a busy week at work, Ted was off nurseru sick on Monday and Tuesday so I was home by midday Monday and Granny W was here on Tuesday as fortunately I had arranged for her to pick up and drop off Ted as I had to go to Leeds for emergency incident report at work. Ted was back at nursery on Wednesday and was fine thank goodness so I managed to get some work caught up before workig a short day Thursday leaving at 3 to collect G&G P from Hatton Cross tube. We drove to nursery to collect Ted who was completely freaked out a) that Mummy was there at 4pm and b) that there were these two other people that he met the weekend before there too. He ignored G&G P in the car and made a point of looking out the window but warmed up quickly when we got home and was starting to relax more and get used to these two new people. Ry got home and we all caught up a little before putting Ted to bed and ordering a curry in – which was a lovely treat.
Friday morning we were up earlyish and decided to got to Windsor Castle as it was a lovely day and we have never been there before. We drove across to Windsor and parked up before walking up to the castle. It was lovely to walk around outside in the sunshine and listen to the audia guide, once inside we were good for about half an hour but then keeping Ted the right side of the cordons and away from the very old and expensive china and glass ornaments and heavy and dangerous suits of armour and weapons became too much for me and too much fo him so we left Ryan and Granpa to finish the tour and met them on ext.
We went to a pub for lunch nearby, pies all round which were great although the wait was phenomenally long! Then back to the car via an ice cream shop where we all indulged in some great big double scoop cones which were delish.
Back home and in the evening we did Caeser salads all round which was nice after such a heavy lunch, Ted was used to G&GP now and started to show his tricks, — swinging on the stair gate, running up and down the lounge and doing row row the boat. We all had a lovely day.
Still to come – Brooklands, MercedesBenz World and dinner with Cliff and Antia, followed by family lunch on Sunday with the Gubbins and then Mondays shopping and lunch at Spur … but all that will have to wait for the next installment of the G&G P visit tomorrow or on the weekend when I have time to do the detail justice and to organise the pics.
G&GP departed Monday which was very sad and its always very hard to say goodbye, but we had a lovely time and it was so good for Ted to get to spend quality time with his G&GP.
